release

I now ponder on whether my patient Holden Caulfield will be able to integrate back into society. I believe what caused his outburst were a mixture between horrifying events he has witnessed and the subconscious questioning he has done to himself with questions like 'Who Am I' 'do I matter' 'why do people act so fake' and 'am I a phony' Many incidence were holdin had an outburst were related to his decreased brother Allie. And one in particular with a pimp where he refused to hand over an extra $5. It is my belief that Holden has a demeaning State of Mind most of the time, that concerns me. There were numerous events where I would have normally drawn the line such as the one where Holden was walking continuously with no tie and at the end of every block he would pray to Allie to make him not disappear it frightens me that a child so young would think of such a thing honestly. He must of thought that he had relatively done nothing with his life so far and had a mental breakdown. Under my recommendation I believe that it is safe for Holden and society to colide as long as Holden is repeatedly check on, god help that boy.

motivation and fulfillment

I've just seemed to notice it but I don't believe patient Holdon Caufield  has any motivation besides making his sister happy, and he doesn't seem to have any fulfillment in life what I mean is most people have a goal of what they want to be or somehow kind of hope for things to go well in the future, or they have planned. But patient Holden seems not to really care where he ends up in life besides that he doesn't want to be a phony and how he doesn't want to disappear or die which is like most people. I've gone over it with Holden and he just doesn't seem to care, sure he will give me some answers that are obviously giving me what I want but that's why I'm eliminating them as proof of him having fulfillment. It seems like I'll just have to work harder and harder to find something that will Give him joy in life, and give him some type of motivation. I'm sure I'll figure something out.

The past

When Holden talks of past experiences that he has had his actions are affected by the remembrance of these memories. In example when Holden had told me how after he had written his roommate Stradlater's composition for him about his dead brother Allie's baseball glove, and after the argument between Stradlater and Holden. Holden punches Stradlater in his face, now normally you would just think of this as a barbarous attack against another person from normal aggression dealing with annoyance and anger. But later Holden sates hes yellow and how Maurice had basically beaten Holden and taken his money. Between Holden punching Stradlater because of Stradlater saying how Holden is a screw up and how the composition of Allie's baseball glove was horrible. I believe that Holden had only been able to punch stradlater in the face because of how he never got to relieve himself of Allie's death. It was said how he wasn't able to attend Alie's funeral, making in my opinion anything dealing with Allie a touchy subject.

Relations *Positive*

One person that Holden seems to somewhat enjoy other than his dead brother Allie and his little sister Phobe whom he cares for deeply is in my opinion Ackley. In Holden's time of struggle after his fight with Stradlater and his obvious loss he goes to Ackley for comfort in having someone else there for him. Ackley not knowing the situation Holden is in just goes back to sleep as if this were nothing and while alone Holden decides to leave Prency Prep early without notifying others. Once outside of the dorms Holden yells at the top of his voice "Sleep tight, ya morons!", obviously Holden expected more from not only that school but is supposed friend Ackley. Holden also kept speaking nonsense when Ackley was asleep and he was allowed to lay on Ackley's roommates bed since he was gone. With things like "Tell me the story of your fascinating life, Ackley kid". In that quote I presume that Holden was trying to make someone else feel bad or possibly annoy Ackley into friendship so that he wouldn't feel so afraid of being alone.

Relations *Negative*

Patient Holden doesn't particularly get along with other people. He's more intent on as stated before, judging others. Though he judges and despises others he also needs human contact to keep the small amount of sanity I believe he has left. He doesn't particularly enjoy Stradlater even though in early statements towards Ackley about Stradlater he says "He's conceited, bu he's very generous in some things. He really is." Not too long after wards and you find Holden punching Stradlater in the face. Later he states, "How I hated him". It's possible that his outlook on Stradlater changed but he does state the he knew what type of person Stradlater was. That makes me wonder if he lied to Ackley saying that Stradlater was a decent guy because he was getting annoyed with Ackley.

Emotional Evalation

The patient Holden usually boarders around Neutral and Judgmental when in a situation where he can observe others such as the incident where he was reading the book " Out of Africa "by Isak Dinesan while Ackley was being a nuisance annoying Holden with his presence, in this situation Holden simply judged Ackley quietly with remarks referring to how Ackley not having any friends or Ackley always being disturbing and not allowing you any peace. Holden's personality greatly changes whenever a subject about Jane Gallagher pops up, going from calm and observing to unpredictable and Jealous. In this situation Holden went as far as to punch his roommate Stradlater once Stadlater clearly showed he had no real feelings for Jane, who Holden was somewhat madly in love with. The patient also induces that hes a terrific liar and that people never pay attention, making me want to take a closer look at his personal background and what may have caused this sort of thinking. So far I'm thinking that this patient Holden, needs a goal in life and something he enjoys doing other than judging others and being a hypocrite.

1st entry

This intriguing new patient I was recommended to by my good pal Robert Swart named Holden Caulfield. Patient seems within the normal with physical attributes besides his gray hair that’s containing itself to the right of his head. Holden also appears to think of himself as a different type of person, he judges others but also judges himself. Though he judges himself he still thinks of himself as some sort of deity that doesn't really have any impact on the earth or even care weather he does or doesn't.He appears strangely attached to his New York hunting hat that he bought for a dollar. Somewhere deep down this patient seems to have lost his real reason of continuing to live, he has nothing to really live for.
